ALUMINIUM drill rods
Technodrill aluminium drill rods are manufactured from high quality aluminium tubes fitted with steel couplings at both ends.
Aluminium drill rods, although lighter than steel rods of the same dimension (almost half their weight) they are durable and strong, due to the high tensile strength of the special aluminium alloy.
The lighter weight makes them easier to handle and reduces the vibrations in the drill string.
Aluminium drill rods withstand greater bending stresses than steel rods, reducing the risk of permanent deformation.
The threaded steel couplings, that test the greatest wear of the rod, are manufactured from high quality heat treated alloy steel and fitted into the aluminium rod tube with a very strong anaerobic adhesive for thread locking.
Suitable to be used with the corresponding dimensions core barrels (TT 56-46, Τ2 56-46).
Available in sizes 53 & 43mm.

The standard effective lengths are 3.0 & 1.5 meters. Other lengths may be manufactured upon request.
All rods have right hand threads. Left hand threads can be manufactured if requested.
